Instructions For Using the GSA Advantage! Web Site
Recently, GSA updated the GSA Advantage! web site. We have received many calls from vendors confused about its new interface. ECSI decided to put together the following instructions and tips for searching the site. We hope you will find them helpful.
Accesing GSA Advantage!:
1. Type www.gsaadvantage.gov in your web browser then hit the ENTER key.2. When the GSA Advantage! home page comes up on your screen,
scroll approximately halfway down the page until you see a heading titled "5 Ways to Shop Advantage! Now".3. In the first block under Search, type in the contract number that you are searching for ie. to search for ECSI's services, type in our contract number, GS-35F-5895H. You can also type in the name of the company that you are searching for.
4. The next screen is the 'Member Login' screen.
You DO NOT need to register to proceed. On the right side of the screen, you will see a area to enter your zip code. Simply type your zip code in the space provided and click on the "Login" button. It does not matter what zip code you enter.5. If you typed in a valid contract number or company name of a vendor currently on Advantage!, you will be brought directly to the products or services for that particular vendor.
If you typed an incorrect contract number or a company name that is similar to others in Advantage! you may be given a list of choices. Simply click on the one that you would like.
Searching within a vendors data:
In order to search for a particular product from within a vendor's product information, enter in the product number that you are looking for in the 'Search' box on the left hand side. Be sure to click on "Search within results".
Click the "Go" button and you will be brought to the particular product that you are looking for.
Remember, GSA Advantage! is geared toward the government buyer and is optimized for allowing buyers to quickly locate product and pricing data.
